Battle4Split 2018 is a tournament in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and FIFA 18 eSport games that will be held on two last weekends in May. In the period from 18th to 20th of May, teams will, like last year, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Split battle in CS: GO and League of Legends games, while the period from 25th to 27th of May is reserved for the most popular digital version of football Fifa 18 in shopping center Mall of Split.

Their place on the LAN finals teams will ensure in one of four CS:GO or Legaue of Legends online qualification tournaments which are being held from the 10th of March to the 28th of May. Players from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovinia and Macedonia can register their teams for free on www.battleforsplit.com and participate in a fight for a prize fund of 25 000 kn. On the other hand, FIFA 18 competition has no qualifications – the applications for the final will be opened a month before the tournament on the web page.

In addition to the competitive part of the tournament, for all visitors, free entertainment will be organized within the Party zone. Sponsorship space equipped with computers, gadgets, consoles, VR and AR devices, food, drinks and prizes will be available all day long to all visitors. Tanks to the support of Splitsko-dalmatinska county within the event Innovation Exhibiton will be held. Exhibition of local projects, startup and scientific achievements from the field of innovation, technology and IT with the goal to popularize technology and STEM industry.

In the shopping center Mall of Split, on the 27th of May, humanitarian FIFA 18 competition CT4KIDS will take place where local businesses will fight with the aim of raising funds for the ally disadvantaged children. All the revenue will be donated to the Children’s home Maestral in purpose of buying a minibus for the transport of children to school. The goal is to show Split as a modern city which supports digital sport and players, that can provide new modern sports and entertainment content to the local community. By presenting esports we are expanding the tourist offer of the city, branding Split as a regional center of eSport and gaming tourism.
